Experience, Commitment, Impact

Experience
I have seen what strong leadership looks like and I have seen the cost when it’s missing.
School boards are responsible for setting the vision, protecting the focus, and ensuring every decision leads to better outcomes for students. That work requires clarity, discipline, and the courage to ask hard questions before problems become crises.
I bring more than 25 years of experience across every level of education, along with firsthand knowledge of this district. I know what it takes to move a system from instability to progress because I have done it before. When I served on the board during state conservatorship, we restored structure, rebuilt focus, and improved outcomes across finance, governance, and academics.
We already have strong educators in DeSoto. The work now is to restore alignment, rebuild morale, and create the conditions where teachers can teach and students can succeed. The board’s role is not to manage chaos—it is to lead with purpose so classrooms can thrive.
Commitment
My commitment is not to comfort it is to results.
I believe in leadership that is visible, accountable, and grounded in service to students and the community. That means working collaboratively, but never avoiding responsibility. It means listening without defensiveness and leading without confusion.
I will work alongside teachers, parents, students, and staff to rebuild trust and strengthen communication across the district. I understand what it takes to lead at every level from classrooms to campuses to boardrooms and I know that alignment matters.
This district does not need more noise or performative leadership. It needs steady, strategic leadership that is focused on what actually moves the system forward.
I am committed to doing that work consistently, transparently, and with integrity.
Impact
I am running because students deserve better and I am prepared to deliver.
Every child in DeSoto deserves access to a strong, stable, and high-performing public school. That will not happen by chance. It will happen through disciplined governance, responsible financial decisions, and a clear focus on student outcomes.
For too long, resources have been stretched, priorities have been misaligned, and classrooms have felt the impact. That has to change.
I will advocate for:
- Budgets that prioritize classrooms over bureaucracy
- Decisions that are grounded in data, not politics
- Support systems that allow teachers to succeed and stay
- Safe, structured environments where students can learn and grow
I do not believe in playing politics with children’s futures. I believe in doing the work, asking the hard questions, and making decisions that move the district forward.
At the end of the day, this is not about positions or personalities.
It is about students and the future we are responsible for protecting.
